What is a CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program is a way for community members to support their local farms. In the early spring farms are busy spending money on seeds, propane, worker’s wages, and hundreds of other expenses. At the same time they have very little, if anything to sell. This math is not favorable for a farm.
In return for “investing” in a farm for the season, CSA members receive more value than they paid for. Our farm adds 15% value to your share (after subtracting for the cost of a tote bag). This value is then spread out between regularly scheduled distributions, with slightly more value being added during peak harvest season (August through September) and slightly less in the Spring and Fall.
